A Minerstown Summer captures the beauty of the County Down coast on a warm, brilliant July day. The sky was a clear blue, the sea held fifty shades of it, and behind it all sat the majestic Mourne Mountains. It was simply stunning.

This is a rugged coastline: rocks, coves, dunes and long grasses, all adding to the energy of a coast that isn't always calm. It has stood the test of time through fierce seasons, high winds and lashing rain, and still, in July, it was beautiful.

And so close to home. Summer days at home give us the chance to explore what's on our own doorstep, and remind us how grateful we should be to live where we do: on an island, and on a coast, that has stood the test of time. Home to thousands of years of stories and journeys before us, and here for all of us to enjoy.
