In the Press: Sunday Independent

In the Press: Sunday Independent

It's a little surreal seeing your home and artworks in print - especially in a Sunday broadsheet! That happened on the first weekend in November ahead of Art Source, and I'm beyond thrilled.

I'm so grateful to the journalist, Mary O'Sullivan, for her kind words and to Tony Gavin, the photographer, for the pics. Having 'Flower Bomb', 'Circle 1', 'Circle 2' and 'In Her Stride' in press was pretty epic.

I'm a PR gal by trade so I understand the value of exposure. I'm leaning into my strengths and what I know. Profile builds awareness and from awareness, more people can discover your work. Promoting myself is seriously uncomfortable but although I'm really an introverted extrovert, pushing through discomfort is what I know.

Ulimately, I'm happy to give things a go and try, rather than regretting not doing more.

Also, through my career, the one thing I'm sure of is that no one cares as much as you do about the piece / article or pics so if you're not 100%, get over it.

This piece is a special one - and appeared in one of the most read features in Ireland. I'm delighted that Mary and Tony took the time to visit and cover my home and work.

As you'll see, my house is as colourful as my paintings. I hope you love the piece as much as I do.
